Update

Dear Sassy Apron Swappers,

Thank you for your many messages of concern, support and understanding. My father passed away this evening just after 9 p.m. I have been at his side almost continually since Wednesday morning. I did finish making all the swaps Tuesday night but haven't had time to be back on the computer since then to e-mail them all out. I will start that in the morning. It was so nice to be able to set this aside for 3 days and help my daddy go. It was a job I had to do. I had promises to keep. Thank you all for understanding. You are truly a marvelous bunch of ladies.

Much Love,
Lucy B

I'm sorry for you loss, Lucy. I lost my father a few years ago, but it seems like yesterday. You take care of family business first. Aprons can wait.

Lucy, I am so sorry about your dad. Daughters and dads have such a special relationship. My father died a few years ago and everyday I miss him, but in a good way as I think about some of the things he taught me-that truly keeps him alive in my heart as I am sure yours will be for you.

Lucy, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your dear father. I lost my father exactly 8 years ago and it still hurts and I miss him.

You and yours are in my prayers as you grieve.

The aprons will be a nice distraction when the time is right and we can wait until then.

Lucy-please accept my sincerest sympathy. My mother passed away just last month on Dec. 13. Don't let ANYONE tell you how long you should or can grieve or how. You take your time. I feel that I have not been able to properly grieve because I've tried to stay VERY busy so I wouldn't have the time to think about what has happened. PLEASE email me when you feel up to it...And feel up to it in YOUR OWN TIME...not when someone else tells you to..Hugs and we'll all still be here when you're ready...we can wait.. :)

What a difficult season for your family. I'm glad you were able to spend the time with your father. I've lost both my parents.

I was just searching today for an apron swap and ran across your blog. I'm sorry I missed this one, but am anxiously looking forward to future swaps.

Truly, you must do what your heart is telling you to do. Spending time together with loved ones is probably high on your heart's list! We will all be able to pull together aprons when it's time. Don't worry about that!

The Tennyson poem was one of my grandmother's favorites, too, and therefore it's one of mine. Thanks for the source, btw. I'd never known the author. :-) Please take as much time as you need for healing. We all care for you and your family, and you are all in my prayers. Be well.
