Last Giveaways

Busy Bee
I want to thank all of you for being such Busy Bees.
Almost all the aprons are done and on their way. I have heard from most of you and know that there are a couple of unavoidable delays but the aprons are headed toward their destinations. So if you haven't got it yet, watch for your postman and let me and your partner know when you get them. :o)
I have two more thank you gifts to send out to you swappers. Every swapper gets a chance at these but you can up your chances by posting.
Giveaway number one is....
Mary Kay
It is a luscious body lotion in the fragrance of Exotic Passion fruit from Mary Kay. Our friendly Mary Kay dealer is miss Ana L.'s mom. You can visit her Mary Kay site and check out other fabulous products and if you buy from her you are helping along another stay-at-home mom. Rebecca has a marvelous blog, Marvelous Pigs in Satin, where she posts crazy stories about her children and some pretty wicked NON-diet recipes for days when you just need some comfort food. (she also manages to stay pretty skinny too.)
The other prize I have for you is from one of our fellow swappers, and my BFF, Vea M.
Coaster set
We are getting this lovely quilted coaster set from Vea. It is so lovely and so well made.
You can see more of her creations at her newly opened Etsy Store Prairie Village. Vea is also a Stay-at-Home mom that has fabulous sewing, painting, quilting, designing and cooking skills. She has also recently stared up a new blog called...
.... where she posts great money saving tips and recipes. She has raised 8 children for very little money and is sharing her fabulous secrets which we can all use right now. Go check out her new blog and her Etsy shop and leave some great blog love her way. She is off this weekend helping her daughter and daughter-in-law man (or woman) a booth at the Norman Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. Them make gorgeous corset costumes. Thank You!!

The swap time is now officially up. All the beautiful aprons should be done, packaged and shipped on their way to their partners. Please check the sidebar for your name and your swap status. That is what I have in my records (minus any typo's I might have made). So if your have sent your apron and it doesn't say so, then you need to let me know and make sure I know.
I also need to know who has received their aprons as well. Here is where my job gets easy (you help me and send me your information) or it gets hard (I have to track you down, ferret and apron out of you and get one sent off to your partner). :o)

Ok enough of that. Let's find out who is the big time winner of the apron swap "Got my package off on time" giveaway. (oh yes and let Lucy know I did the above!)

Out of 45 swappers we have 30 aprons sent!!! That is really great actually. If you are one of the 15 I will be getting in touch with you real soon. :o)

Tea for You Apron Giveaway

I hope you are all busy getting to know each other and start working on your packages. I have heard back from all of you now. I am very excited about the pairings in this swap and hope you are enjoying your partners. This is a very different way of swapping for SAS and I am interested to see how it goes.
I am also really excited about the sponsors we have for this swap and the giveaways we have lined up. Our first two giveaways were pretty fun and I hope you have all gone and checked out their sites.
I have a new giveaway to offer you today. My friend Jan from J Carrell Originals has offered us a custom made apron just for this swap. If you haven't checked out her site yet you should! She sells beautiful aprons (I have a lovely chicken apron on black that she made for me!! thank you!). She also sells tea pot (we will have a giveaway for one of those soon) and tea cozies. If you are strapped for time (who isn't) and would like to get a fabulous apron ready-made for your partner, check out Jan's aprons. They are lovely and very affordable.
Here is the lovely Tea Cup apron that Jan so graciously made for us.

Tea Apron
Fabulous isn't it!!!??! I just love it and am so excited that she took the time to make it special for us.
Do you want one??? hee hee
Well here is what you have to get this lovely apron for your very own. To get an entry in this giveaway you have to leave comments on the blog. Before I would give an entry for just being part of the swap but I think it is more fair to honor those that take the time to come here, read up on the swap info, and take the time to give some blogging love to our sponsors. So here are the ways to get your name in this giveaway drawing:
1- Leave a comment on this blog entry and get ONE entry
2- Go to J Carrell Originals, check out her shop and see what she makes, come back to the blog and leave ANOTHER comment telling me what is your favorite product on her site. For this you get One more entry in the giveaway.
3- Go to your blog and post a blog post about this giveaway, Jan's shop and what lovely things she is doing there and get TWO additional entries (you have to post a comment here telling me about your blog post so I can check it out and give you your two extra entries).
4- If you actually Order something from Jan - an apron, a teapot, or one of her cozies - You will get TEN extra entries. Just post a comment here again with your swap name and I will check it with Jan and give you your extra 10 entries.

You have till Monday night 12:00 central time to post all your comments here and I will pick the lucky winner and blog it on Tuesday morning.

All tea totes are sturdy and close quickly and easily with an elastic band. Each is unique and features a vintage button - no two are ever exactly the same. Love that!

Time is Running OUT

Sign-ups for the swap End Friday night. If you have been waffling about whether to join or not, now is the time to jump in before it closes.

The first give-away I have is for signing up. You get an entry for joining the swap.
Whispering Winds Teas
With a tea party theme I went out and found this lovely little tea shop on Etsy called Whispering Winds Teas. I don't drink black, green, or white tea but do drink herbal infusions and they have some lovely blends I thought looked good.
So for my swappers that get signed up on time, I will pick one of you (that includes my junior swappers) and you will get to go to the Tea Shop and pick out a blend and I will have it shipped to you (if you are the winner). :o) I had to order the Chocolate Mint Rooibos - Herbal Tea . It sounded so lovely. Here is the description:
This herbal tea is delicious and has a great chocolaty mint taste. It begins with an African Rooibos base with the addition of peppermint leaves and cocoa nibs. Chocolate Mint Rooibos is naturally caffeine free and makes a nice refreshing cup of tea. The fragrance alone is delicious!
Doesn't that sound lovely! I love Rooibos. It tastes so rich and woodsy.

Junior Category

Tea for Two
While chatting with my niece today she told me about how much fun she had in the SSEN Apron swap that just got finished up and how much fun it was to get a package all to herself. She also told me how interested her little girl (age 6) was in the package and how she asked her if she would please join in another one of the Fabulous swaps but give her partner her name instead so she could get a wonderful apron in the mail and little peppermints in a box just for her. :o) Well as her great Auntie I couldn't say no. So ...... drum roll please.... I have added a junior category to the swap.
Children may be entered by an adult that will be helping them fill the box for another tea party enthusiast. I thought it would be fun for the little girls to get to know each other and write or something. I am not posting links to the little girls names to protect their privacy but they will be sent their partners links in an email at swap time.
To enter a child, just fill the child's name in (one per entry) and in the notes about the swapper please fill in the child's information.
We need to know their:
age
size
interests
favorite colors
favorite treats
etc.
Fill out all the questions as for the child.
I also need to know the adult's information as to who you are so I know who to talk to about packages and such. Fill in that info in the notes to the swap mama slot.
The sewing ability applies to YOU not the Child obviously so I can pair seamstresses equally.

Remember you have until Friday to sign up.
This Junior category is a new thing and we will see how it goes. We usually only have mom's sign up and make aprons for #'s of kids not kids doing packages for kids.

Tea for Two Sassy Apron Swap

Today is the start of the sign-ups for the Tea for Two SAS.

The theme of the swap is a Tea Party. This swap does have a swap fee. The swap is treated more like an apron swap club. The fee is $5. This insures you a package as it covers all angel needs for the group. It also goes to providing some fun prizes along the way. There will be some big drawing for those that do what is needed on time such as respond to emails promptly, get their packages off early and on time. Those that post pictures and such. We will also do a swap scavenger hunt where you get to know more about each other.
This swap is not going to be a secret swap. You WILL know who your partner is and she will know who you are. You will be having your own private tea party. :o) Enough chatter and on to how it will all work.

To join the swap you need to click on the paypal Icon here or on the sidebar and pay your $5 and you will be directed from there to the Sign-up form.

The sign-ups run from today, Feb 16th to Friday Feb 27th.
I will swap you all out and give you your partners on Monday March 2nd.

You will then get with your partner and get to know her. and then get started on making your tea party package.

The apron packages will be due on Monday March 30th. That gives you 4 full weeks to get your packaged done and shipped out.
Packages cannot be shipped before March 20th. I love it when people get right on the job and get their aprons done but half of the fun is the waiting for your package and wondering what your partner is up to. So don't ship before the 20th unless you are an international swapper.

Package Requirements - (Please read so you know what you have signed up for.)
I want to keep this simple.

You must make and send a lovely Tea Party themed apron.
It should be made from 100% cotton.
It should be washed and Ironed and ready go.
Your apron should be free of pet hair and smoke.
Make sure that what you send it something that you would be excited to receive.

You can also add in things that are tea party themed.
Small treats
A fun tea cup
Tea, herbal tea or lemon aid (not all of us are tea drinkers)
Some fun frilly little bit of linens that you like.
Just make it fun and not too expensive.

New Apron Swap

Hello Swappers!
The Sassy/Flirty apron swap is getting all wrapped up and my mind is turning to my next swap here.
I am taking a little time off (a week) and will start the next swap here on February 15th.

Here is a sneak Peek at the theme.
Tea for Two

I am still working out the details.
I was very pleased with how the swap went. So much good communication with us and the swappers. Almost every apron is on it's way and the late ones are in constant communication and showing us progress.
It was really fun to have so many giveaways and the sponsors for the swap. I got to take advantage of some great deals myself and hope that you that participated did too.

The new swap will not be a secret swap. You will communicate with your partner!
It should be so much fun.
Mark your calenders and come back here on Feb 15th to sign up for the fun. There will be a limited number this time. Smaller swaps are easier to keep track of. :o)
